Current Events

Future Goals:

I am looking for more exposure as a designer and as much as my business is thriving off of my custom bridal designs, my love has always been creating gowns full of vibrant colors mixed with elements of classic and modern style. I would love to showcase my couture gowns in an upscale market nationwide and hope one day soon, I will be able to attain my goals

Current Projects:
I am happy to announce that most of my gowns are now environmentally friendly. Reducing waste and reusing materials is important to me, as a business owner and of course as a human being. As a business owner, it’s only natural to use as much of the resources to be more cost effective. But at the same time, be conscious of the types of materials I am using for my gowns. I am buying more resources that do not go through the over processing of materials, but keeping them in a more natural state to avoid manufacturers from using excess chemicals to treat the fabrics.

Community Projects:

In honor of my mother who has had breast cancer for over 15 years, I am donating an evening gown to one lucky bidder at the Frock N Roll event at Alice Cooperstown. ALL proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

I am also in a hair growing contest with my good friend and pinhole photographer Sheila Bocchine. We are growing our hair out for the Locks of Love organization. We figured that it is just hair and it will grow back in no time. Having both our mothers go through breast cancer, we know the value of having hair while someone is going through Chemotherapy or Radiation treatment. During those times, we've seen our mothers cry over thinning / loss of hair and figured we can donate it to an organization that will make wigs to help others going through what our mothers went through.

Upcoming Events:

Inspired to do more

As I sit in front of the T.V, watching Bob Ross painting those happy little trees. I feel inspired to do more with my life and know that I will one day be at the level of success that I have always dreamed of. One motivating factor is just simply meeting new people who are successful.

Last night, I had the honor of having wine and a great dinner with a group of very successful and creative women. I was completely awed by the lifestyle they provided for themselves and their children and only hope one day I can do the same for my own family. We had a great time talking about life and getting make-up tips from Dori Randall. Just being around these women made me look forward to the life I have ahead of me if I keep working hard at what I love to do. They asked me how long I have been in Arizona and I told them that although I've been here for 22 years. With the exception of one year in Colorado, being born in the Philippines, moving to Saudi Arabia (Bahrain), traveling to Paris and London and then finally ending up in Arizona.

All the talking during the night, driving home was when I started thinking about the many blessings I've had in my life and how it was because my parents who brought us here to America. And how we are all grateful for the opportunities this country has afforded us. In the Philippines, I might have only been a seamstress making minimal wages for someone else or a big company. Here I am a fashion designer running my own business and making my own money.

Through out my drive, I started thinking about the success of my own parents and how my dad had to work three jobs and go to college at the same time. How my mother has had to give up a dream of being a nurse, because she couldn't afford the supplies to go to school. Instead, she became an accountant. She said that all she needed was her knowledge, a pencil and of course paper. And how I am luckily enough to work on my dream and really flourish at a career doing what I love to do.
