I just wanted to let you know that I was able to raise about $800 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation at Saturday's fashion show, I was even recognized for my efforts to my charity by being awarded the Ray Brown Award. An honor I was surprised to win, because I was just thinking of helping my mom's cause and hoping that with the money I raised that there will be a cure one day.
If you are not familiar with Ray Brown (and the award), he is a legendary rock-n-roll fashion designer who epitomizes "frock 'n roll" has created iconic stage clothing for the past 25 years for major musical acts such as Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, Mötley Crüe, Judas Priest, Cher, John Mellencamp, Brian Setzer, Metallica, Poison, Black Sabbath and many more. The recipient of the Ray Brown Award will exemplify charity; show upstanding citizenship and great strength in their respective field.
