Scottsdale Fashion Week's Wearable Art Show

Happy to announce that I will be participating in Scottsdale Fashion Week's Wearable Art Show. I think it will be a great honor to work with many international artists and be a part of the runway show sponsored by the Scottsdale Gallery Association and Scottsdale Fashion Week.

On-the-Street Spectacle Celebrates ‘Wearable Art’ of
Internationally Acclaimed Artists
Scottsdale, Ariz.-- The Scottsdale Gallery Association and the City of Scottsdale in conjunction with the Scottsdale Fashion Week (SFW) once again presents an exciting evening of art-to-wear at the Wearable ArtWalk08, Thurs., Nov. 6, 7-9 pm. Joining art with fashion, the second annual Wearable ArtWalk08 will launch Scottsdale Fashion Week (SFW), Nov. 6-8, a destination celebration of fashion and fine living.

Art-to-wear is defined as those pieces of clothing or jewelry that are either one-of-a-kind or limited edition pieces. Either way, the wearable artist is in charge of the process from inception to creation, designing and creating pieces that are often kept for a lifetime by collectors. The Wearable ArtWalk08 offers local and visiting clients the opportunity to see these marvelous creations, and also own a unique piece of art.

Three venues will showcase the work of internationally acclaimed wearable artists in downtown Scottsdale:
 Main Street south of Indian School;
 Marshall Way south of 5th Avenue; and
 SouthBridge.
Each location will feature models in pieces from world renowned unique collections.

Galleries in the three areas -- Main Street, Marshall Way and SouthBridge (along Stetson) will be in the spirit of the evening with provocative shows and exhibits inside multiple galleries as well.

Scottsdale Fashion Week 2008 is Nov. 6-9, downtown Scottsdale, a district spanning Scottsdale Fashion Square to Scottsdale Waterfront to SouthBridge and includes two runways and a Luxury Pavilion of fine living purveyors of fashion, design, spas and more. Scottsdale Fashion Week opens Thursday night, Nov. 6, with the Milan-style Wearable ArtWalk sponsored by the Scottsdale Gallery Association. A special thank you to all the people I've worked with

As my new website nears completion, I just wanted to thank everyone I've ever worked with. Without the great connections and relationships I've formed over the last 4 years, my business would have never gone this far. Fashion in general is a unique business where sometimes it is who you know and not exactly what you know. I'm just glad I've had the opportunity to meet some fabulous people excited about their art and enthusiastic about helping people.

I hope to make some major changes over the next few years and hope to make everyone I've worked with in fashion as happy as I am.

I've always said that when one door closes, new opportunities are behind the next one you open. So, close the doors that are pulling you back and open the ones that will drive you forward.
