Jennyvi's Vegetarian Experiment

Over the last couple months I've tried to cut down on my meat intake for diet reasons and for other reasons.  As of late with the help of some friends (my production manager Heidi and Jo Lance), I've been thinking there is something more to giving up meat than just giving up meat.  It didn't dawn on me until, I saw Jo's facebook page that maybe there is something more spiritual to being a vegetarian and there is my other reason.

I hope you don't judge me to harshly for the other reason.  I've told other people my other reason and the die hard meat eaters just don't understand.  The other reason why I am giving up meat one animal at a time is that I have this dream of owning a farm.  I know it's silly as a fashion designer to say that, but isn't that just another way I can be eco-friendly?  I have a dream of being able to grow and make my own fabric, as well as sustain your living with natural homegrown resources.  As well as having a farm to feed hungry people for free, where people in need can come by to pick their own fruits and vegetables at no cost to them and experience a petting zoo at the same time.

Because the first pet I plan to have on my farm is a pet piggy, I have not eaten pork for over 3 months, now. You can't eat your pets, right (even though it may be in the future)?  When I told my husband I was giving up pork for life, the first thing he said was "including bacon?"  I firmly said yes and explained why.  He then proceeded to list off all the pork products I could no longer have including pepperoni on pizza.  But I think I've been fine without it.

Well, that's enough of the personal back story, "Jennyvi's Vegetarian Experiment" is this:
Since I have not completely trained my body to give up all meats yet (but significantly cut down), I will be recording weather my meatless days are either more productive, if I am generally happier, or overall how many good days I have going meatless versus eating meat.  Since the weekend is when I like to go out, perhaps Fri - Sunday and holidays is when I can allow myself to eat meat and the rest of the time I will try going cold turkey in my pursuit of finding out if being a vegetarian is right for me.  : )

Photo is me mowing the lawn on a ride on mower for the very first time when I came to visit my aunt and uncle in Ohio a few weeks ago.  On the same vacation I visited Maryland, DC, and Virginia, but mowing the lawn was definitely the high light of my trip.
