The Great Gatsby Gown Giveaway starts tonight!

Tonight (August 1st) at midnight EST / 9pm MST is when we post the official post on the Superior Model Form fan page to start the "voting" process for one lucky bride, store, wedding vendor and pretty much anyone who wants to win the Jennyvi Dizon Couture "Great Gatsby" wedding gown set and the Superior Model Form dress form.

The prize value for the wedding gown set and the dress form is valued at $4525.

 I am so excited about this promotion with Superior Model Form and the relationship with such a great company.  This promotion would have never come about if I didn't go to New York in April to attend the International New York Bridal Market.

The manager, Joseph and I just seem to hit it off.  I will tell you a little secret, I went to the show to see if it was a right fit for my line debut, but I went there as a "buyer."  When I came across the Superior Model Form Co. booth, I decided to take a look at the forms and I was instantly impressed.  I had no intention of actually buying anything from the show, despite my official credentials as one and once I sat down to fulfill the order I knew had to blow my cover.

Joseph didn't seem to mind the conversation and I am absolutely grateful that he was kind enough to take the time to talk.  It's amazing to think that I came to New York knowing only a handful of people and left there with the start of a beautiful friendship.

Perhaps, this is why I was inspired by the theme the Great Gatsby.  I didn't know what to expect from New York, if people would even take the time to pay attention to me.  Whatever stereotype I had about New York went out the window on this trip.  I had been to New York a couple times before, I never experienced the city in the way I did on my April trip.

So, to all the people I met in New York, the friends I was able to hang out with, this line is for you!  You inspired me to make this line, you inspired me to have hope for my career and most of all you inspired me to have faith in people.

Being "Pesce"

I have been a Pescetarian vegetarian for over a month and I'm feeling great about my decision.  I've been feeling lighter and more aware of labels.  I have a lot of health problems that run in my family and if you are wondering what, here is a list:

1.)  Breast Cancer
2.)  High Blood Pressure
3.)  Diabetes
4.)  Heart Disease
5.)  Kidney problems
6.)  Gout

When I was 13, my mom had a stroke at her doctor's appointment and later found out she had breast cancer.  Knowing what I know about these diseases have put me on edge about my age and my health risks.  My mom had her first stroke roughly around the age of 41 and was diagnosed with breast cancer that same year, then came all the other health problems.

The only thing she didn't have is gout, that health problem is what my dad has.  I will be 32 later this year and anything I can do to prevent the health problems that runs in my family, I will definitely do it.  I don't want anything to stop me from what I was meant to do, which is to make wedding gowns.

I enjoy life and my career!  Having had a pesky ear and sinus infection for the last week and half, I treasure my health even more and since we really don't know what these meat manufacturers really feed the animals America eats then I don't really want to risk my own health eating pink slime.
